There is a lot of focus on peat moss consumption, that´s why we at Thoruplund have set the goal to reduce the use of peat moss over the next 5 years. From our production in Vietnam we already have a lot of experience using peat made of Cocos fibers (Coco peat). The knowledge we have from this we intend to mix our substrates with Coco peat to reduce the amount of peat moss used.
To reduce the use of peat moss further we are also working on adding wooden fibers and other alternatives in corporation with our suppliers.
